The JMACD.mq4 Forex EA is based on an indicator called JMACD (Jurik Moving Average Convergence Divergence).
The JMACD indicator is used to identify potential buy and sell signals in the financial markets. It does this by analyzing the price data and calculating two main components: the Fast JMA and the Slow JMA.
Indicator Parameters:
FastJMA: This parameter defines the look-back period for the Fast JMA.
SlowJMA: This parameter defines the look-back period for the Slow JMA.
SignalJMA: This parameter defines the look-back period for the signal line of the MACD.
JMACD_Phase: This parameter controls the phase of the JMA for the MACD calculation.
Signal_Phase: This parameter controls the phase of the JMA for the MACD signal line calculation.
Input_Price_Customs: This parameter lets you choose which price data to use (e.g., Close, Open, High, Low, etc.) for the calculations.
CountBars: It specifies how many bars of historical data to use in the calculation.
How to Set It Up:
You need to install this EA in your MetaTrader 4 platform under the "Experts" folder.
After installation, you can attach the JMACD indicator to your chart.
You can configure the parameters like FastJMA, SlowJMA, and SignalJMA according to your trading preferences.
The indicator will then plot the JMACD line and the Signal line on the chart.
How It Works:
The JMACD indicator calculates the Fast JMA and Slow JMA based on the selected price data (e.g., closing prices).
It then subtracts the Slow JMA from the Fast JMA to get the MACD line.
The Signal line is derived by applying the JMA to the MACD line.
When the MACD line crosses above the Signal line, it generates a buy signal.
When the MACD line crosses below the Signal line, it generates a sell signal.
Signal Interpretation:
Traders often use JMACD signals for various trading strategies. A common approach is to buy when the MACD line crosses above the Signal line (bullish crossover) and sell when the MACD line crosses below the Signal line (bearish crossover).
