The showtime.mq4 Forex EA is a simple script that calculates the time difference between the broker's server time and your local computer time. It doesn't perform any trading actions or strategies, but it can be used to check the time synchronization between your trading platform and the broker's server.
This EA is not for trading but for monitoring time synchronization. It calculates the time difference (in seconds) between your local computer time and the broker's server time. It's a tool to help you see if there's a time delay or if your platform's time is correctly aligned with the broker's server time.
How it works:
The EA initializes with a parameter called GMTShift, which allows you to adjust the time zone offset if needed.
It enters the init() function, where it calculates the time difference between your local time and the broker's server time.
It displays this time difference in seconds as a comment on your chart, showing "Last Server Time," "Simulated Server Time," "Local Time," and "Seconds Difference."
It continually updates this information every 100 milliseconds (Sleep(100)), allowing you to monitor any changes in the time difference.
To set up this EA, you can follow these steps:
Attach the EA to a chart in your MetaTrader trading platform.
Optionally, adjust the GMTShift parameter to match your broker's time zone offset if necessary.
The EA will display the time difference information as comments on your chart.
