OverHedgeTrend EA utilizes a hedging strategy in tandem with trend analysis, employing the Least Squares Moving Average (LSMA) for trend confirmation. It dynamically adjusts trade sizes based on open positions, a characteristic feature of hedging strategies.
How it Works:
The EA identifies market trends using LSMA.
It initiates trades in the direction of the detected trend, with the ability to hold both buy and sell positions, typical of hedging.
The lot size for each new trade increases either by doubling or linearly, adapting to the number of open positions - a risk management approach seen in hedging.
A profit target feature is included, which, when reached, prompts the EA to close all positions, aligning with hedging’s goal of risk mitigation.
Additional functionalities like slippage control and a ‘shutdown’ option to stop new trades are also included.
Basic Setup Instructions:
