If you're new to Forex trading, you're in for a treat. This MT4 trading tool takes historical tick data, like price changes and volume, and converts it into the format your MetaTrader platform craves. It's like translating the language of the Forex market into something your trading platform can understand.
How this EA Works:
Tick data, which records price changes and volume, is read from a CSV file.
The EA organizes this data into time-based bars (candles) that your trading platform recognizes.
It detects when a new candle should start and calculates the open, low, high, close prices, and volume for each one.
This data is then written into a format called FXT, which is MetaTrader-friendly.
To get started, follow these steps:
Download the mq4 file (that's your EA).
Install it on your MetaTrader 4 platform.
Now, you can customize the EA with these parameters:
ExtCsvFile: The CSV file with your tick data.
ExtDelimiter: The character used to separate data in your CSV file.
ExtCreateHst: Set to true if you want to create a history file as well.
Experiment with different currency pairs and time frames to see what works best for you.
Settings Explained:
ExtCsvFile: The name of your CSV file with tick data.
ExtDelimiter: The character that separates data in your CSV file (usually a comma or semicolon).
ExtCreateHst: If true, it creates a history file.
ExtPeriodSeconds: The time frame for your bars in seconds.
ExtLastTime: Tracks the last tick time.
ExtLastBarTime: Records the start time of the current candle.
