Firebird v0.63 EA!
Firebird v0.63 EA uses a Moving Average (MA) envelope exhaustion system to trade on the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform.
How this EA works:
Firebird calculates a 10-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) and creates a channel by shifting it up and down by 2%. You can choose to use either the closing prices (for more trades) or the high and low prices (for safer trades) for this SMA calculation. When the price breaks out of this channel, Firebird takes a position in the opposite direction of the current trend. If the position goes against you, it opens an extra position to average out the losses. About 50% of the trades are expected to last a day, 45% between 2 to 6 days, and 5% may take longer or fail.
How to Get Started:
Download the Firebird v0.63e1.mq4 file.
Open your MT4 platform.
Go to 'File' -> 'Open Data Folder.'
Navigate to 'MQL4' -> 'Experts.'
Copy and paste the downloaded mq4 file into the 'Experts' folder.
Restart your MT4 platform.
Adjustable Parameters:
MA_length: This parameter determines the number of periods used to calculate the Moving Average (MA). It affects the sensitivity of the trading signals generated by the EA. Higher values result in smoother MA lines.
MA_timeframe: This parameter sets the timeframe for the MA calculation. It specifies how many minutes each bar represents, affecting the speed of the MA's response to price changes.
MAtype: This parameter lets you choose the type of price data used for the MA calculation. A value of 0 uses the closing prices, while 1 uses the high and low prices. The choice can impact the EA's trading strategy.
Percent: This parameter determines the percentage used to create a channel around the MA line. It helps define the entry points for trades when the price breaks out of this channel.
TradeOnFriday: If set to a value greater than 0, the EA will continue trading on Fridays. Otherwise, it will avoid trading on Fridays.
slip: This parameter specifies the maximum allowed slippage when executing orders. Slippage is the difference between the expected price and the actual execution price.
Lots: The lot size or position size for each trade. It defines the quantity of the currency pair to be bought or sold in each trade.
TakeProfit: This parameter sets the desired level of profit in pips at which the EA will automatically close a winning trade.
Stoploss: It determines the maximum loss, in pips, that the EA will tolerate before closing a losing trade.
Fast_Period and Fast_Price: These parameters are used for divergence calculations within the EA. Fast_Period sets the period for the fast moving average, while Fast_Price specifies the price type used for the calculation.
Slow_Period and Slow_Price: Similar to the fast settings, these parameters are used for the slow moving average in divergence calculations.
DivergenceLimit: This parameter sets the limit for divergence in the market. If the divergence value exceeds this limit, it may affect trading decisions.
PipStep: It defines the number of pips that the market must move against a trade before the EA adds another position to average the entry price.
IncreasementType: This parameter affects how the PipStep is adjusted based on the number of open positions. A value greater than 0 will increase the PipStep as the number of open positions grows.
DVLimit: This is an additional divergence limit parameter included by Renato.
PipsGoal: Specifies the desired profit goal in pips for the EA's trading strategy.
PipsLoss: Sets the maximum allowable loss in pips before the EA takes action to manage trades.
clOpenBuy, clModiBuy, clCloseBuy, clOpenSell, clModiSell, clCloseSell, clDelete: These parameters specify the colors used for different actions such as opening, modifying, or closing buy and sell trades.
Name_Expert: This parameter allows you to name the Expert Advisor.
NameFileSound: Specifies the sound file that the EA should use for alerts.
MODE_DIV, MODE_SLOPE, MODE_ACEL: These parameters define different modes for analyzing market conditions based on divergence, slope, or acceleration.
GMT: The GMT offset for market hours.
DST: Daylight Saving Time setting (0 for Standard, 1 for Daylight Saving).
OpeningHour and ClosingHour: These parameters determine the hours during which the EA is allowed to trade.
writelog: If set to a value greater than 0, the EA will write logs.
