This Expert AdvisorTimer is designed to automate trading. It has several customizable settings that allow you to define the trading strategy.
Timer Settings:
WaitSeconds: This parameter defines how often the EA will check for new trading opportunities, in seconds.
PipDistance: It sets the distance in pips for placing Buy and Sell orders.
AtrPeriod: The period used for calculating the Average True Range (ATR) indicator, which is a measure of market volatility.
Reverse: If set to true, it will reverse the trading logic (Buy becomes Sell and vice versa).
Stop_Limit: Determines whether to use stop orders or limit orders for entry.
SL TP Settings:
StopLoss: This parameter sets the Stop Loss level in pips.
TakeProfit: It defines the Take Profit level in pips.
UseTrailingStop: Enables or disables the trailing stop feature.
TrailingStop: Sets the trailing stop distance in pips.
MM Settings:
Lots: The initial lot size used for trading.
UseMM: If enabled, the EA will calculate the lot size based on the defined risk percentage and Stop Loss.
Risk: The risk percentage used for lot size calculation.
MaxTrades: Limits the maximum number of simultaneous trades.
MaxSlippage: Sets the maximum allowable slippage in pips.
Trading Hours:
UseTradingHours: If enabled, it restricts trading to specific hours of the day.
StartTime and StopTime: Define the time range for allowed trading.
GMT_Offset: Offset to align trading hours with the broker's time zone.
View Settings:
ShowMenu: If enabled, it displays a graphical menu on the chart.
MenuCorner: Specifies the corner of the chart where the menu is displayed.
FontColor: Sets the color of the text in the menu.
FontSize: Specifies the font size of the text in the menu.
The EA also includes functions for handling trading operations:
It monitors the opening of new bars to identify the start of a new candle.
It calculates the ATR indicator based on the defined period.
The CheckStops function checks and modifies stop loss and take profit levels of open trades.
