What it does is calculate the MACD and Signal lines and then it pops signals on your chart to tell you like "Hey, this might be a good time to buy" or "Maybe you should sell now". But it won't place the trades for you, you gotta do that part yourself.

It's not quite the same as an Expert Advisor. EAs can automatically place trades for you based on their programming, but with an indicator like this, you're the one who makes the trading decisions.
