Hi,
What do you think about my idea of using martingale:
No 1. ) Test very accurately the EA with good tick data to find the good settings for the following:
No 2.) Find an Emergency Stop level where the EA will give up and let the trades close. Off course this will make a loose on the account depends on the size of the Emergency Stop level
Criteria of Emergency Stop Level:
- If I search for a stop level that never occurs, my EA will be too safe and as somebody wrote here, my profit will be too low.
- If I search for a stop level that occurs too frequently then I will loose too much.
- But I I can find a good level, like where I expect to break once or twice in a year but I still can expect good monthly profit (ex. when in 2-3 months can recover the loss caused by the emergency stop) , then
it's possible to create a Martingale EA with
- Good average monthly profit.
- Guarantee not to blow the account.
What do you think?
