What EA did you mention? Normally, the back test works with every EA on MT 4

I looked at theofx ea. Very similar to the GREAY. I backtest with some change on settings. It worked best on GBPUSD and GBPJPY. From 1/7/2016 to 1/3.2017. it traded from 1000$ to $33,000,000.00. I think it has to do with Brexit.

encountering challenges with backtesting is not uncommon. Several common factors might be contributing to this situation:

1. Data Availability: The ability to backtest an EA heavily depends on the availability of historical data. Ensuring you have access to the necessary data is crucial for a successful backtest.
Settings and Parameters: Incorrectly configured settings and parameters can significantly impact the accuracy of your backtest results. It's essential to verify that you've set up the EA correctly.
2. Platform Compatibility: The compatibility of the EA with your specific trading platform or version is paramount. Some EAs are tailored to work with particular platforms, and ensuring compatibility is key.
3. Historical Data Quality: The quality of the historical data you use plays a vital role in the reliability of your backtest results. It's imperative to utilize accurate and up-to-date data for a meaningful analysis.
4. EA-Specific Limitations: Each EA may have unique requirements or constraints. To address these effectively, it's advisable to review the EA's documentation or seek guidance from the developer.

By addressing these potential issues, you can increase the accuracy and reliability of your backtest results, facilitating a more comprehensive evaluation of the EA's effectiveness.
