Get Started with Firebird v0.60 EA!
Firebird v0.60 calculates a 10-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) and creates a channel by shifting it up and down by 2%. It uses either the closing price or the high and low prices for this calculation, depending on your preference. When the price breaks out of this channel, the EA takes a position in the opposite direction of the current trend. If the trade goes against you, it opens an extra position to help you average out.
Setting up Firebird v0.60:
Download the mq4 file for Firebird v0.60.
Open your MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform.
Go to 'File' > 'Open Data Folder.'
In the 'MQL4' folder, locate the 'Experts' folder.
Copy the downloaded mq4 file into the 'Experts' folder.
Restart MT4 to load the EA.
Adjustable Parameters:
MA_length: Determines the length of the Simple Moving Average (SMA) used by the EA.
Percent: Sets the percentage value by which the SMA channel is shifted up and down.
TradeOnFriday: Controls whether the EA executes trades on Fridays (1 for yes, 0 for no).
MAtype: Chooses the type of price data used for the SMA calculation (0 for closing price, 1 for high/low prices).
slip: Defines the allowable slippage in pips during order execution.
Lots: Specifies the trading volume or position size.
TakeProfit: Sets the target profit in pips for each trade.
Stoploss: Determines the stop-loss level in pips for each trade.
PipStep: Defines the distance in pips at which an additional position is opened in case of adverse price movements.
IncreasementType: Allows you to choose between a fixed PipStep (0) or a dynamic PipStep based on order quantity (1).
