Sometimes EAs work with the right settings, like assar.
With those backtests I wanted to show you why your backtests were brilliant and your forward tests unprofitable.

Breaking down the code to find out how the scripts work is the easy part - finding ones that actually work is the hard part.
Most of the EA's are based on indicators which is past data so it doesn't tell you the future - all we are doing is probability analysis to find the patterns that repeat the most to hopefully turn a profit. If someone found a pattern that was accurate all the time this would be easy but it doesn't exist
I did probability analysis on fantasy sports for a long time finding patterns in random events and even though you don't know if that guy will hit a home run you can find splits and characteristics that put the odds in your favor which is all we are doing here - trying to put the odds in our favor of random acts that we can't control
I downloaded assar earlier to start breaking the code down hopefully it has better results
I've found a couple decent ones I'm currently using but they have only been running a couple weeks forward testing so still not all in on them but they are producing profits
I did the same with poker, had alot of fun! ;D
That's the thing with forward testing: Some EAs work well for half a year, then turn around, especially for JPY pairs.
You can see that in backtesting, but backtesting has other disadvantages, it's not relieable with close settings, like close trailing, short sl tps.
And the next thing is if you want to trade a mixture between manual and automated trading or just let the EAs run.

i think there should be a special part of this forum where ALREADY TESTED and proving can be shared. So everyone will know which one is already tested on live account and giving profitable reults, thereby others with new EAs will be able to strive to have their own EA approved n put in this special thread too, just my tought so as to help everyone for spending alot of time testing.
I have 10yrs trading experience. And I have a sound manual trading system. if there is any programmer who is honest and can program for us for free, i am willing to share here too.
