Intro and Optimization thoughts
Brand new here, been in forex for a bit, currently running one strategy live.... Give me a few weeks till I'm confident in the results before I share 
I'm mainly here because I want to get some advice on optimizing, especially EA's that are already compiled making it impossible to use most of the standard walk forward methods around.
If there's already good optimization and WFA tutorials on here, please direct me to them, there's just so much content!
Currently i've got a grid scapler I want to test out and optimize, if you look up filtergrid and wordpress in google you'll find it!

Hi Stubish, welcome to the community!
Hope you don´t use grid scalpers on your live accounts. I tested such strategies for almost 4 years and they are not successful on long term. They may last for some years, but one day, if you don´t have an equity protection strategy, it will fail.

It's interesting. I've been cold on grids and martingale for a while, then last week read something interesting...
"all systems go through draw down".
Now I disagree, you can have a drawdownless system. But most of those are so risk averse you'll only be doing a few percent a year.
My one live strategy is not Grid, and quite risk averse. I'm hoping to take it to 15% a month. That will be the bread and butter.
I'm thinking Grids will be max 33% Array. And hit and run. Keep taking out the upside before it can be blown up. Once I'm playing with just profit.
I think it has space in the 'high risk' section of your greater portfolio. Using profits to feed into the more consistent systems.
I'm also looking at the genetically created systems, a few that I won't mention here (as they are competitors) and once I'm approved on this forum of course the ones here.
The management of a basked of genetically created EA's is of interest to me. If there was a way to roll them all into one EA then have some sort of management system where you prune the worst performers that would be optimal.
All that to so, NO! no grids are live yet... as I don't have capital I'm willing to loose...
