_i_MACD.mq4 Forex EA
This EA focuses on the MACD indicator, which stands for Moving Average Convergence Divergence.
The MACD indicator helps us understand the trend direction of a currency pair. This EA uses it to make trading decisions.
Here's how it works:
Fast and Slow EMA: The EA uses two Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), one fast and one slow. EMA is like a smoothed average of the currency's price over a specific period. The fast EMA looks at the last 12 periods, while the slow one looks at the last 26.
Signal Line: It also calculates a Signal Line, which is a Simple Moving Average (SMA) of the MACD values calculated from the fast and slow EMAs. The EA uses a 9-period SMA for this.
Histogram: The difference between the MACD and the Signal Line is calculated, and this difference is displayed as a histogram on your trading chart. The histogram helps you see the momentum of the price movement.
Now, how do you set it up, you ask? Well, here's a simple step-by-step guide:
Install the EA: Make sure you have MetaTrader 4 installed on your computer. Then, copy and paste the provided code into the MetaEditor and compile it.
Attach to Chart: Open your desired currency pair chart on MetaTrader 4. Drag and drop the EA onto the chart.
