Unlock forex trading potential with Hercules v1.0 Forex EA.
The core strategy of the EA is relatively straightforward: it identifies crossover points between two moving averages, the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) with a period of 1 and the Simple Moving Average (SMA) with a period of 72. When the EMA crosses above the SMA, it generates a "buy" signal, and when the EMA crosses below the SMA, it generates a "sell" signal.
How It Works
Triggering Orders: The EA waits for the price to exceed a specified number of pips above or below the crossover point of the EMA and SMA, known as the "Trigger." This Trigger is what initiates the trading order.
Stop Loss: For risk management, it sets the stop-loss level at the low of the last bar for long positions and the high of the last bar for short positions.
Double Orders: The EA executes two orders when triggered - one for taking an immediate profit and another to ride the trend with a trailing stop. The trailing stop is applied to both orders.
Timeframe and Pairs: It's recommended to use the EA on a 1-hour (H1) or longer timeframe, but it can be applied to any timeframe. It can also be used with various currency pairs, but historically, it has shown the best results with EURUSD.
Money Management: The EA primarily relies on the stop-loss for money management. It does not consider margin requirements, so you should be cautious about your account margin.
Setting Up the EA follow these steps:
Attach the EA to your MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform.
Adjust the settings according to your preferences.
Here are the key parameters:Lots:
Lots: This parameter determines the trading lot size.
Trigger: It specifies the number of pips above or below the crossover point of the EMA and SMA that will trigger trading orders.
Slippage: The allowed slippage in pips for order execution.
TrailingStop: This sets the number of pips for the trailing stop that is applied to both orders.
TakeProfit1: The take-profit level in pips for the first order.
TakeProfit2: The take-profit level in pips for the second order.
MA1Period: The period used for the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) that acts as a trigger line.
MA1Shift: The shift value for the EMA.
MA1Method: It specifies the method used for calculating the EMA (e.g., Exponential, Simple).
MA1Price: The price used for calculating the EMA (e.g., Close, Open).
MA2Period: The period used for the Simple Moving Average (SMA) that acts as the base line.
MA2Shift: The shift value for the SMA.
MA2Method: It specifies the method used for calculating the SMA (e.g., Simple, Exponential).
MA2Price: The price used for calculating the SMA (e.g., Close, Open).
For an optimal experience, here are suggested settings:
Currency Pair: EURUSD
Timeframe: H1 (1-hour)
Minimum Budget: $1,000 (This is a general recommendation; adjust based on your risk tolerance.)
