The OBJ_Edit_Example.mq4 is not a trading tool or indicator, but rather an Expert Advisor script for MetaTrader 4 that creates and controls an OBJ_EDIT object.
It creates a text input field (Edit object) on your MT4 chart. This field can display and edit text. It can be customized with various settings.
The EA allows you to:
Customize the appearance of the text field, such as its position, size, text content, font, and color.
Control whether the text field is read-only (you can't edit it) or not.
Choose where on the chart the text field should be placed (e.g., upper left, lower right).
Toggle the background and text color.
Set the z-order to determine the layering of objects on the chart.
You can also interact with buttons to change the settings for read-only, selectability, alignment, and corner positioning of the text field.
This EA does not perform trading activities. It is more of a tool for visualizing and interacting with text on your MT4 chart.
How to Use:
Copy and paste the provided code into the MetaEditor within MT4.
Compile the code to create the EA.
Attach the EA to your MT4 chart.
The EA will create a text input field on your chart.
You can use the buttons created by the EA to change various settings for the text field, like making it read-only, changing its position, alignment, and corner positioning.
The EA also provides information about the current settings.
