About Bav_hist_step_ma_ea_nv1.mq4
https://mt4talk.com/misc.php?action=pun … download=1
The EA looks at special indicators like Hist_StepMA_Stoch_KV1_Ex_03 to figure out when it's a good time to buy or sell. When it spots a chance to make money, it can place buy or sell orders for you automatically. That means you don't have to stay glued to your screen all day.
You can set different profit targets for your trades. This EA can help you take profits at various levels, from small gains to big wins.
You can choose between a fixed lot size or let it calculate the lot size based on your risk percentage. No need to do math; it's got your back.
Want to lock in profits? It can trail your stop-loss to secure those gains when the market moves in your favor.
Setting It Up:
Download the mq4 file (that's the EA) and save it on your computer.
Open your MetaTrader 4 platform.
Click on "File" at the top left, then select "Open Data Folder."
Inside the data folder, locate the "MQL4" folder and open it.
Find the "Experts" folder and copy the mq4 file into it.
Restart your MetaTrader 4 platform.
Now, go to the "Navigator" panel on the left, right-click on "Expert Advisors," and select "Refresh."
You'll find Bav_hist_step_ma_ea_nv1 in the list. Drag it onto a chart of your chosen currency pair and time frame.
Now, let's talk about those adjustable parameters (settings):
Take Profit 1 to 4:
Suggested Settings: 6, 10, 20, 500
These are your profit targets. When the EA enters a trade, it aims to make a profit, and these settings allow you to set different profit levels for your trades. For example, if you set Take Profit 1 to 6, it means the EA will aim to make 6 pips of profit before closing the trade. You can set different levels for smaller or larger profit goals.
Stop Loss:
Suggested Setting: 30
If the market moves against you, the EA will close the trade to limit your losses. A Stop Loss of 30 means that if the trade goes 30 pips against you, it will automatically close to prevent further losses.
Trailing Stop:
Suggested Setting: 30
The Trailing Stop helps you lock in profits as the market moves in your favor. A Trailing Stop of 30 means that if your trade is in profit by 30 pips or more, the EA will start trailing the stop-loss to secure those gains.
Fixed Lot:
Suggested Setting: True
When set to "True," it means you'll trade the same lot size (the amount of money you're betting) for each trade. This can be a good choice if you want consistent risk.
Lots:
Suggested Setting: 0.1
This setting is relevant when Fixed Lot is set to "True." It defines the fixed lot size you want to trade. For example, if you set it to 0.1, it means you're trading 0.1 lots for each trade.
Maximum Risk:
Suggested Setting: 1%
Maximum Risk is used when Fixed Lot is set to "False." It allows you to specify the percentage of your account balance you're willing to risk on a single trade. Setting it to 1% means you're risking 1% of your account balance on each trade.
Shift:
Suggested Setting: 0
Shift is like looking back or forward in time to gather data for making trading decisions. You can leave it at 0 if you're not sure about adjusting it.
PeriodWATR, Kwatr, HighLow, NumberOfBarsToCalculate:
Suggested Settings: 10, 1.0, 0, 500
These parameters relate to the indicator the EA uses to make decisions. They determine how the indicator works and how far back it looks in the price data. The suggested settings are good starting points.
Slippage:
Suggested Setting: 2
Slippage accounts for any price difference that may occur between the time you place an order and when it's executed. A setting of 2 is reasonable for most situations.
OrderTriesNumber:
Suggested Setting: 3
Sometimes, orders might face issues during execution. This parameter tells the EA how many times to retry placing an order if an error occurs.
EAName:
Suggested Setting: "HistStepMA" (or your preferred name)
This is just a name for your EA. You can change it to whatever you like. It helps you identify the EA when it's running on your trading platform.
These suggested settings should provide a good starting point for using the EA effectively. Remember that you can adjust these parameters based on your risk tolerance and trading preferences as you gain more experience.
Pros of the EA
It takes the headache out of analyzing charts and indicators. You don't need to be a math genius to use it.
You can set different profit targets for your trades. Want to take small profits or aim for big wins? It's up to you.
You can choose to set a fixed lot size (that's like how much you're willing to bet) or let it figure out the lot size based on your risk percentage.
Ever worried about losing your profits when the market goes against you? This EA can trail your stop-loss to lock in gains as the market moves in your favor.
